DIGC101 Week 3 Blog
Easily discoverable with a quick Google search, Howard Rheingold’s immediate online prescence can be located at http://www.rheingold.com/
Consisting of a fairly simplistic layout for the man credited with creating the term ‘virtual communities’, Rhinegold’s site contains basic
background info, links to academic material, Rheingold’s vlog and Twitter. It appears to be updated regularly and combined with Twitter, it would seem
that Rheingold’s online prescense is not static.
Googling Yair Amichai-Hamburger surprisngly produces an offical site as the second result with the third result linking to his Facebook. Hamburger’s
offical site is a lot more visually appealing and professional looking than that of Rheingold.
Barry Wellman also appears to have a rather large online prescense with a flash-based semi professional offical site, extensive Wikipedia article
and a regualry updated Twitter.
